RomAsia Bank Names Four New Advisors
Edison, NJ July 1, 2010 Peter A. Inverso, chairman of RomAsia Bank, and Dominick Mazzagetti, president and CEO, recently announced the appointments of Kris Kolluri, Nag Karaka, Zhiyu “Jimmy” Hu and Y.C. Tsien to the bank’s advisory board. The announcement highlights RomAsia Bank’s growth along central New Jersey’s Route 1 corridor, as well as its June 12th grand opening in Edison. Mr. Kolluri currently serves as head of the NJ Schools Development Authority and previously served as Commissioner of the state’s Department of Transportation. On December 28, 2006, he proudly served New Jersey as acting governor per the protocol of those absent in the ranks above him. Mr. Karaka is the CEO of Penntex Group, and is renowned as an IT executive with cross-cultural experience in countries spanning the globe. He has a proven record for building high performance teams and bringing exceptional skill to project management. Mr. Hu is an Edison attorney who has been twice honored by the Chinese government with the creation of postage stamps in his likeness. The honor was in recognition of his community work both in the country and abroad. A resident of Short Hills, Mr. Tsien has served as executive director of the New Jersey Chinese American Chamber of Commerce (NJCACC), and has been an advocate of helping small business owners address diversity issues. “On behalf of all of us at RomAsia Bank, I am appreciative that all four gentlemen have been strong supporters of our community bank’s mission to attract local deposits while strengthening central New Jersey’s Asian American communities with local loans and one-to-one access to our institution’s decision makers,” Inverso said. “It is appropriate to watch our advisory board grow as our bank expands from Monmouth Junction to Edison.” Mazzagetti added. “Kris, Nag, Jimmy and Y.C. bring with them a great deal of knowledge and experience in the communities we are serving. They have been eager to better know and support the efforts of our diverse team of banking professionals. These connections allow us to provide outstanding customer service in a variety of different languages, from varying cultural perspectives, and with a global reach at www.romasiabank.com. Since opening its doors in Monmouth Junction on June 25, 2008, RomAsia Bank has been greeted by a welcoming customer base. The new office at the Wick Shopping Plaza (at the intersection of Plainfield Avenue and Route 1 South) was eagerly anticipated by both current and potential personal and business account holders. “I am impressed by how RomAsia Bank created a unique and superior community banking experience for our Asian-American neighbors,” Kolluri said. “The bank’s willingness to understand unique needs, as well as its commitment to superior service, makes me honored to join its advisory committee.” Kolluri, Karaka, Hu and Tsien join an advisory board that includes Timothy Cannon; Nicholas Carnevale; Jack Fein; Margaret Koo; Raman Kapur; Dixie Kirpalani; Guy Lanciano, Gregory Petroff, Ravi Ravindranath; John Taylor; Shawki Salem, Ph.D.; Seema Singh, and Jaspal (Paul) Suri.
